Fun Friday and Mani Monday
Hey Everybody! I hope this Monday finds you rejuvenated and ready to tackle the week with purpose!
Last Friday I went back to my job for a luncheon and decided to bring my baby girl with me. She was SO excited. We arrived early enough so that she could watch the rest of the Noon newscast (where she had to promise absolute silence, of course) and got our visit started with a few shots in the studio.
To say she felt right at home would be an understatement:

Todd, Ava, and Randi.

Me and my pumpkin.

Ava and my home away from home, the glorious green screen.

The cutest forecast I’ve ever seen. (Randi had just finished a weather cut-in, so the graphics were already cued up - just in case you’re wondering why she did weather and not traffic).
In addition to her quality time in the studio, Ava also got to partake in some activities during the News 5 luncheon. We were trying our hand at a new batch of games, based on the “Minute to Win It” game show on NBC. When they asked for volunteers, Ava and I raised our hands and went to the front. We were joined by 3 other adults and given instructions. We had 1 minute to unroll a roll of toilet paper without breaking it. Sounds easy, right? And do you think the 4 adults cared that they were joined by and competing against a 5 year old? NOOOO! We were in it to win it! Fiercely determined, we all fell one by one…..each breaking our toilet paper rolls at different intervals. But lo and behold…..who stood victorious with yet another 30 seconds left on the clock?

Yep. My Ava.
She LEGITIMATELY beat out 4 adults in the News 5 Edition of Minute to Win It.

“How did it feel when you lost Mommy?”
Really? How will it feel when Mommy gets a White Chocolate Mocha with your GIFT CARD??? HUH???
Okay, I didn’t go that far. Wait, I DID get a White Chocolate Mocha….I just didn’t rub it in.
And she got several cake pops to celebrate her victory. :-) Fun times indeed.
ALSO:
It’s MANI MONDAY!!!

Decided to go with pastel pink this week. It’s called “A Crewed Interest” by Essie. Love this color! And I also added a design on the ring finger of each hand with a sparkly little polish I picked up - “A Cut Above” - also by Essie.
Try something new this week! Tell someone you love them and mean it!
And MAKE IT A GREAT DAY :-)
